Welcome to the Kinship and Poverty in Early Modern Britain project. The database is a work in progress that aims to analyze the kinship connections of poor-relief recipients in the 17th and 18th centuries. It currently concentrates on a selection of parishes in Dorset.
We are looking to network with others working on similar projects. If you are a scholar interested in early modern poverty and family life in Britain who would be interested in participating in this project, please contact Prof. Harris directly at amy.harris@byu.edu.
